Leah is Fighting

On February 18th, eat a scoop or two of ice cream for breakfast to support Leah’s ongoing fight with childhood cancer, because kids get cancer too.

Leah is spunky & has the best laugh in the world, and Norah (her little sister) is usually the one to get the biggest laughs from her. Leah and Norah fight constantly but are best friends! I love finding them off in the other room whispering stories to each other already, and can just imagine (if they get the chance) what that’ll evolve into as they get older.

Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day

If you have music on, Leah will dance for hours! She loves reading and has an eye for details that you dont usually see in little kids; she notices everything! Her favorite place in the world is the beach, and she would stand in the waves for hours if you let her!

In April of 2013, Leah was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (or DIPG).  At the time she was 3 yrs old and given 6 months to live.  A new treatment was started in July of that same year and she began to regain some of the abilities she had lost, the tumor stopped growing, and she is still here with us today!!
